      Welcome to the North Arlington Middle School web site!  We are committed to providing students with the best environment in which to mature and be challenged socially as well as academically.  The staff works at pursuing activities which make attending middle school a special experience.  It is our goal to help all students develop the skills, behaviors, and knowledge necessary to become a contributing member of the school environment, the community, and the world about them.

      The North Arlington Middle School is located in North Arlington, New Jersey, just minutes from New York City and on the outskirts of the New Jersey Meadowlands.  It is a special place that offers students many exciting academic and extra-curricular opportunities.  The school is organized in grade teams so that four teachers work together with a shared group of students.  This structure promotes the concept of family and allows students and teachers to develop close relationships with the entire class.  Each grade level has one team and a designated teacher as the team leader.  Teams allow every child to become acquainted with the teachers and Guidance department.  The grade level team is one of the most essential elements of an effective middle school.  The teachers meet regularly to discuss and make decisions related to the total educational program of the students assigned to their team.  Our guidance program has a Director and a Dean of students who meet with children and parents to address their social and emotional needs.  Integrated instruction, consistent team rules, and enrichment activities provide a wide variety of learning opportunities for students.  It is our hope and intention that our web site will adequately describe our school and its many outstanding programs.  Enjoy your visit!
