Protect Your Eligibility

Accept only awards of trophies, pins, jackets, i.e., approved by Board of Education -do not accept any merchandise or cash.
You may caddy or work in a golf or tennis shop - but do not give instruction for compensation.
You may bowl in an adult league - but you may not accept or have anyone accept for you any merchandise or cash. Same must remain with sponsoring committee.
You may not accept, gratis, on loan or on a discount basis, any equipment or merchandise for personal use under any circumstances whatsoever
Consult your athletic director it you are in doubt.
Make sure you understand the rules governing your collegiate eligibility.
PARTICIPATE ONLY FOR PHYSICAL, MENTAL, SOCIAL AND EDUCATIONAL BENEFITS

Any member of an NJSIAA team who competes in any adult league or non-school competition (at any time of the year), and accepts prize money or merchandise as a prize at the end of the season, or at the completion of the event, or who participates in any event, exhibition, or program for pay or accepts any cash or merchandise from any party for a display of his/her athletic ability on a gratis, discount basis or loan in any sport, shall immediately become ineligible for one year for further participation in any interscholastic sports activity conducted by the NJSIAA, and any games in any sport in which he/she has competed are forfeited.
